Size Guide

Size Guide for your gothic clothes.

Usually manufacturers allocate accurate sizes to their gothic dresses, skirts and tops, but we have found that some items, Dark Star in particular, need measuring as an item marked S/M can be anything from 10/12 to 16/18!  We measure the items flat and allocate the approximate size using the size chart below.

Bust
Take measurement across fullest part of the bust and across the lower shoulder blades.  When we measure blouses and tops we measure the garment below the armpit seam, an inch or 2 lower depending on the design of the garment.

Waist
Measure around the natural waistline.  Please remember that most gothic skirts are not worn on the narrowest part of the waist, but on the lower waist or upper hips.  Sometimes we give the waistband measurement of skirts, so please remember to measure yourself where you'd normally wear your skirts and not the narrowest part of your waist (unless you plan to wear the skirt on your waist).

Hips
Measure 20cm (8ins) below the waistline at fullest part.
